I would like to throw light on the cheating done by aritel with me. Airtel has continuously cheated me third time in a span of less than a year.
First time was an executive of airtel took 1750 Rs from me for IP TV but didn't install IP TV and fled away with the money. I chased airtel for six long months to get my money back but they didn't help me. Every time I was made a false promise that my money will come to by cheuqe within 5 -6 days. This exercise continued for six long months. But there was no refund of money.
They kept asking me to give me receipts and documents which I gave them numerous times but still there was no action. I was damn frustrated and decided to to go their office in noida to get my money back. I had to get go there three times and waited for another 15-20 days to get refund of money. I got refund of my money after 7 months for which I made numerous calls and visited their offices several times. This was one of my worst experience.
Second time which is very recent. I have been using airtel landline connection for six years. My services were stopped as I was out of town and couldn't pay the bill on time. I finally cleared all my dues to get my services re-activated. I was told that I will be shifted to a new plan of my choice the very next day and my services will get activated immediately. I waited, waited for more than 15 days. They kept telling me every time that my services will start immediately whenever I called them up. But that never happened. Finally I decided to abort their service permanently as they were again making false promises and doing nothing. My work which is heavily based on internet access was suffering so I decided disconnect their services and look for other alternative. The airtel guys came and took my apparatus and modem. Till now I haven't received my refund of initial deposit which they took from at the time of booking the connection.
Now, the third time which infuriated me the most. I took a 3g sim from airtel for plan of 100mb for which I made initial payment of Rs.350. I was forced to buy this plan as the executive at airtel store at indirapuram Ghaziabad , Mr. Chetan told me that their are no prepaid plans. I had actually gone to buy a prepaid plan but he told me that there is no prepaid plan available and I had to buy this plan. I thought since this plan is for 100 Rs only I can give it a try. Later I called up at airtel helpline and they told me that prepaid plan of rs. 100 is also available but by that time I had already taken this plan. I used the sim for only less than 2 hrs total in 2 days. When I tried to connect again on third day. It showed invalid sim. Now came the biggest shock to me when I received a huge bill of Rs 2500 for using internet for less than 2 hrs. The sim had already become inactive on third day so I couldn't use it after that. Can you imagine a bill of Rs 2500 for less than 2hrs of internet? This is cheating at its highest level. I have been betrayed by airtel third time in a year. I vow never to use airtel in my life again. I have decided not to pay any money.
All the above incidents that happened with me one after the other shows the low level to which airtel has stooped. I advice all new users to be very alert when buying any new plan from airtel. They are going to cheat you.
