For my Airtel number XXXXXXXXXX, I had deposited Rs. 3000 in October 2013 as security deposit for International roaming.
After returning to India I requested for refund of my money on 15th December 2013 with Ref. No. 54216873. I was asked to wait for 45 days.
After 45 days when I checked status of service request, I found that it is closed.I called customer care 121 and Nodal Officer and I came to know that the cheque for refund was not sent at my billing address rather it was sent to my old office address where I was working at the time to taking connection.
So I requested again for the same and I was again asked to wait for 45 days. I requested a lot to nodal officers that I have already waited 2 months and please refund my money as soon as possible. But they did not make any commitment. I was given Service request number: 54951959.
Regarding this service request I was called on 20th of February 2014 to confirm for the address on which Refund cheque would be sent and I was told that it would take maximum 10 days and I will get my refund cheque. To make this smooth I called Appellate authority and they committed the same to me.
But today on 31st March 2014 when I logged in to my Airtel account I found that my service request: 54951959 again has been closed without getting any confirmation from me. Moreover when I tried to call Appellate Authority using this Service Request I got the message that service request is invalid. I tried calling 198 but It is not taking my choice may be because of some technical issue. I tried from different mobile sets but it did not work. I tried to call on 121 also but same problem there. I tried calling on 9810012345 but it is also having the same problem.
I tried to give the feedback using the give feedback link below but it is disabled. I cant understand how a customer will ever be able to provide the feedback.
I want reply from Airtel for following Issues: When will I get my money back? Why Airtel keep my money for 45 days without giving any interest to customer for his money? Is it strategy of Airtel to delay the payment as much as possible so that they can earn interest on customers security money? Why service request was closed without any confirmation from me? Why on first request cheque was not sent to my billing address? Why give feedback option is there if customer cannot give feedback on closing of service request?
