My biggest mistake was to quit idea mp and get a airtel postpaid connection just coz of gprs...
Since last 5 days...I'm going crazy for getting my gprs activated by the airtel technical support people....at 121 they don't have a bit knowledge about this facility on their network and asked me to call up their gprs helpline that is 9893112345 (amritsar timings from 10-6)...and since last five days m calling that number and hopefully after trying it for more than 20-25 times they finally pick up the call....the lady over there...miss nidhi....my god....I don't know why she's been employed...who pronounces settings as sendings.....I had a nightmare communicating my activation and configuration requests......I got the request registered to their local showroom as well as their customer support and gprs helpline...but uptil now my activation has not been done...as I confirmed this from the customer support..everytime I ask for the activation...24 hrs time is been committed to me....but even after this much time for straight 4 days....
My activation is not done....the local technical personnel told me that there is some problem with our switch....as the command got stuck in there and by 24hrs it will be donee......gosh its been 5 days......I've never seen such jerks in my life....and as far as network coverage goes...airtel sucks......I never get full signal strength....wherever I go....and voice keeps on breaking in between....one sms sent by me is delivered 20 times....and no sync of information between the callcenter ppl at mumbai and the local showroom executives.....
Seriously overall I was satisfied with IDEA.....but only coz of gprs services I had no other choice apart from migrating to airtel....inall my experience with airtel was pathetic...I would rate airtel not more than 2 out of 10 for customer support and the same for network and technology.
