It's strange when brands like Airtel do such things to their customer. Recently I found out this interesting thing about airtel. They are very keen in increasing their subscriber base for which they are giving attractive offers to new subscribers but at the same time they in the race to get new customers, they forget to retain existing. This happened with me that my sister bought herself a new airtel number. she got a plan called Airtel celebration 298under which her local calls are charged at Rp .50 and std at Rs 1. Incidently I have been using the same plan since March but under the same plan I am being chrged Rs 2.40 for STD. Now here I wonder why this distinction.
When I called up the customer care and complained about this. they told me that the other number(my sis') was activated under a scheme. so you cannot avail this special rates. This became more embarassing when I spoke to the senior and he gave me all sorts of stupid reasons for charging a 4-year old cutomer more than a 4-week old customer.
To add to my agony. I got no reply to my complaint email that I sent to airtel support email.
I still wonder why I am using an airtel when I can get much better call rates and attractive packages from other service providers.
I invite friends to give me some suggestions on this.
