Airtel DTH- The worst DTH service.


Worst customer service experience I ever had in my life. Same with Airtel broadband as well and had to disconnect the service.


I have been using the Airtel DTH HD connection for one year. Good pciture clarity and very user friendly device and interface. But the waste, useless and worst curtomer care in the World. Even a local Gas agency will have better customer care centre. Whenever I faced any issues with the signal or connection, the engineer response is too bad and worst of all is the call centre agents about whom I dont even want to comment. 3 of my last few issues reported were solved only after contacting the Area manager directly.


Two days back I reported an issue(7494031) your so called customer care(?) asked me to wait for an engineers visit between 11 and 2pm on a Sunday. I waited at home cancelling all other commitments on Sunday. Nobody came and no calls. Called the customer care again and checked again on the schedule. They asked me to wait till 4pm. Again, nobody came. Then contacted, they asked me to wait till 6:30pm. I got a call at 6:30pm from an engineer and he said he will come within an hour. Nobody came.ABOVE THAT, I got a message on my cell phone mentioning that my ticket has been resolved. God only knows how? I called the customer care again asking how. they had no clue. No engineer visited by site. My complete Sunday I wasted waiting for the service person. Almost spent 4hrs on call with customer care people. Out of 4hrs, atleast 3hrs of my call duration were keeping me on hold or mute. Pathetic is not the word one should say for the kind of service offered from one of the most reputed companies. I got so frustrated and the only option I had was to break the Airtel DTH HD box into pieces and throw it to the garbage box. And finally when I asked them to disconnect it, they took the request immediately(7521227). Thanks Airtel. I need no compensation, no additional call backs asking whether to retain the connection(setup box is in the garbage bin anyways) and no more contacts with any of the services from Airtel. I had enough. Believe me, after breaking that shitty DTH box, I feel much relaxed and have peace of mind. I will never recommend anyone going for any airtel service. Airtel proved you are the worst in terms of customer care.
