I have taken Airtel digital tv connection (customtakeouter ID: 3006962032) in February 2011. After discussion over the phone with airtel representative an agent/dealer(Shree Enterprises) from airtel came to my house and activated my mega one year package along with installation. After paying the total cost for mega one year package on 05/02/2011 the person have not recharged my account in full instead he keep up recharging my account every 3 months. The message keep coming up on my home screen for recharging even though I have paid in advance. The issue became more serious when my account got disconnected from airtel for insufficient balance. This is a height of stupidity. There are still 4 months left and I am here looking at my tv with nothing on it. I have tried all their phone number(agent/dealer) but all of them went unanswered. The airtel is not taking any kind of responsibility. The airtel have not solved my problem after calling more than 100 times. I think its time for me to switch to other service since airtel have not solved my problem completely. But my builder(Mittal group) already had a tie-up with airtel which means anyhow I have to continue my airtel connection . Great
My advise: Before you pay Airtel Engineer/dealer make sure you call Airtel and get the confirmation about recharge amount, duration of service, No. of channels and promises made by the Airtel dealer/engineer during installation. During that time let him sit and you may serve a cup of tea,coffee in order to avoid further problems.

After contacting the Nodal officer through email (DTH.NODALMUM@in.airtel.com) and over the phone the issue was finally resolved. So the best way is to contact your local nodal officer if the problem is not solved by Airtel customtakeouter Care representative.
