The dealer from whom I bought my 1st Airtel DTH was so eager to install it on my house that I got it installed on the following day I purchased it.
I was happy for 9 months until suddenly a week before today, I found the set top box is dead. I found only the red and yellow lights are blinking like a digital watch(each second interval) I tried switch off from mains and again switch it on. But it continuously blinking as it is. the TV screen was blank, not even the normal Airtel interface menu appeared.
I went to the same dealer, this time I was not important, he told me to call customer care.(I wish I could have asked give me a fresh connection).
I called up customer care some one said press 4 button(back, all arrow . etc.etc.) simultaneously for a minute. what a interface! I would have found driving a bicycle on the rope to be much easier. Any way I tried for multiple times nothing worked.
Frustrated, I called up CC again this time they said, I have to contact the local dealer with some complaint-ID(3212496). Next day I received a message the issue is resolved. I was blank when and who has serviced my connection. Completely unaware I called customer care, instead of chasing up with the dealer, the sweet lady asked me to follow up with the dealer, what the heck.
For past 3 days I am following up with them, they have given me 15 different times that some one will come and resolve and they have missed the commitment on each of these 15 times.
point is the company is pathetic in mobile and the same generic problem is carried to DTH connection as well.
the company is nothing more than . cheater. pirates of Indian customer.
I would not recommend any one.
