Worst Customer care with Airtel Digital TV

Today I had the worst customer care experience with Airtel. I have bought Airtel digital TV couple of months back. I recharged my account to have espn, star sports n star cricket. Further I spoke to the customer care for having the desired top up added to my account who inturn assured me that it will get activated asap.


After an hour I switch on the tv & found that top up was not yet activated. I can view all the channels except the top up channels. Had a word with Customer Care Executive(Name:- Mary) who asked me to switch off the tv, set top box & instructed me to take the activation card out of the set top box.


This was the most funny part when am able to see other channels she asked me to perform these steps. She said that some times this happens & its an issue with the signal transmission. I dont know who trained the customer care executives or whether they thought that all the people calling them are dumb.Further she asked me to unplug all the cables, reconnect it & asked me to switch on the TV & Settop box. Still the issue was the same which I know would happen after performing all these. She further asked me to wait for 20 minutes so that their system will get updated & I would be able to view the channels.


After an hour I switched on the tv to found that the issue persists. I called up the customer care. This time it was Siva. Gave my customer id & requested him to go through my profile. He hung / disconnected the call.Called the customer care once again. This time it was Sumit who said that they are facing technical issues & many customers are not able to view the respective top ups. He further asked me to wait for 8 hours.If any of my friends are planning to go for airtel am please dont opt for it as its the worst.
