There was a time when we used to have cable connection for watching TV but now things have been changed in last 4 years and I think a much needed move in Indian telecommunication. Major cities like Delhi/NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Banglore were suppose to have DTH installed in first phase.
Currently most of the cities and even villages now require to have DTH service enabled. So being all said about a brief history I would like to share my real experience with Airtel DTH. Its been more then 3.6 years now I am very happy with it except for one or two incidents where I think can be seen as an area of concern.
I was looking for best DTH service provider, out there I could have opted for Tata or Videocon but I decided for Airtel as I have been their customer from last 7 years so had good faith on them. When I got my DTH installed with them as a free bee I got 45 days of free subscription on a year continuous service so had to pay only 2200/- for 13.5 Months of service I found it very generous from Airtel. I have LG 32 Inch LCD TV at home and my family watch TV on daily basis and we never really face any major problem with picture quality or customer support.
But there is a area of concern I think every company is facing these days which is "No Signal" in case of bad weather which I think can be resolved if go for better hardware which get installed on top of the building to receive signal. In my opinion Airtel DTH is recommended for anyone because of their service as my own experience is very satisfying. Whenever I call their support I get instant response from them to resolve the issue which I guess is much better compare to other providers because as a customer you always seek for prompt response and quality of service in minutes of time. There was a incident when I had to call them for some troubleshooting which was suppose to be fixed by technician and in my case I got my problem solved very next day in morning only even though I had to call them late night. It was surprisingly excellent from them. Well in my opinion everyone should definitely get Airtel DTH installed what you think people?
