I would like to share  a complaint against Airtel. I am using Airtel DTH services.


I was getting sms from Airtel that my recharge is about to finish to kindly recharge the account. Therefore I made a call to Airtel regarding this and ask them different packages available at that time and I finally agree for 6 months mega package which cost me 1957 rupees and according to this package I was about to get 20 days subscription free after six months , so I recharge my account with 2000 rupees on 3rd August 2012 and ask the customer care executive to activate my six months mega package, that executive told me that there are 2 days left for my previous subscription so he will recharge it after two days. I agreed and said fine but do the needful.


I checked my account on 10th Aug in which my 6 months package was not activated and airtel was deducting amount on daily bases. Therefore I again called on customer care and the executive told me that the package is still not active so I asked her to kindly do the same on my previous request but she told me that she can’t as that mega package is not available and expires on 8th august and there are some new packages available which I do want to take so I asked her to connect me a senior executive.


She connected me to Mr Depansh Srivastava who listen my concern very politely but refuse to help me for any of my concern and told me that he can’t do anything about it so I asked him to connect some of his senior officer. This incident took place at 7.05 pm 10th Aug 2012 and he said that I will get a call within 2 hours but I have not got any call from airtel so far. I just made a call and have a word with Miss Manisha , She told me a new surprising thing that the package details have changed on 16th July 2012 but no one their executive have that information and they are communicating the wrong information to the customers.


My concerns are as follows..


• I asked the executive to recharge my account on 3rd Aug 2012 than why account has not been recharged so far.


• Mr Depansh told me that there is no heads-up from the company for any changes any packages till 8th Aug and the entire executive got this information as a surprise which is not acceptable.


• As a customer I asked to activate my package on 3rd Aug 2012 and if company forgot to do so than it is not fault and I should get the same benefits promised by the airtel.  It is not customer responsibility to check it again and again that whether their recharge has been done or not.


There is one more interesting rule I would like to share with you about the airtel. If a customer made a top up for any particular channel than after finishing one month subscription there are two conditions. If the customer has the money in their account than the channel will be continue and money will be deducted by itself but if customer do not have money in their account than subscription will be shut down immediately it means that if  a customer have money in their account than he need to make a call to close the subscription.


Otherwise it will be continue but if customer do not have any money than their subscription will be close by itself. So the bottom-line is this that airtel have somewhere in their mind that once a customer will take the subscription of their DTH connection than he cannot go anywhere as it is quite expensive to change the subscription so they are applying all the rules which are in airtel favour and against the customers. Airtel is not missing any chance of making fool of their customers.


So I would like to suggest you that never ever go for Airtel DTH connection. Please let me know for more information. My Details are as below:
