I had been an airtel customer for broadband and telephone.When there was a need for a DTH service I decided to go for Airtel Gigital TV as the brand perception for Airtel was carried forward.Inspite of most of the people in our society using Tata Sky, I opted for Airtel.
I bought the kit from a nearby dealer M/s Kamal Communications in sector 53, Noida.As expected of Airtel the installation guy Om was there in next two hours, I was impresed by their promptness.How wrong I had been now I realize.
After installation I was told that the connection could not be activated b'coz of some server problems and shud be up by evening.I beleived them, nothing happened throughout the evening inspite of giving the dealer all required serial nos of activation coupon etc. I got this installed to watch T20 World cup but I mossed all action and nothing happened.
Next day I called up the installation guy, Om and he asked me to connect with the dealer.After calling the dealer and going through false commitments, the dealer too stopped taking my calls. The so called call centre has no free lines whr a customer can get across and speak to somebody. If somebody can get this message across to Sunil Mittal that how the DTH team is screwing up Bharti brand image, it wud b great. It was a really disappointing experience with India's iconic business house.
