Being an existing Airtel Broadband Customer, while making online payment for my Phone Bill, due to my badluck I noticed the offer of Dishtv connection for Initial Payment of Rs.999/- and no installation charges etc. I sent my details online through AIRTEL Site.
On 13.09.2010 I was called over my mobile and was advised to make the payment through CREDIT CARD using their IVRS Payment Gateway System. I was called again and advised a Transaction ID 10784435 for my PAYMENT. As I was at Office and busy I told him during the conversation, I believe AIRTEL they will install the dishtv connection at my home. HE insisted for noting down the TXN ID as it is required for future reference. Even after my several attempts , telephone contacts, I have not yet get the dishtv connection installed at my Residence till date. I could realise why that man was forcing me to note down the txn id, otherwise I would have no reference for AIRTEL Transaction other than Credit Card Statement.
After several phonecalls and duplicated options for AIRTEL DISHTV Connection through the Site, I was contacted over phone. But when I informed about the Transaction ID, dated 13.09.2010 and non-installation of Dishtv Connection, they vanished immediately. (During Deepavali Festival AIRTEL Dishtv connections were sold well below Rs.999/- in open market itself at MADURAI, for which payment need to be made on installation of Unit). On one occassion I was informed about my CUSTOMER ID : 3005268062 - But I could not even enter the Dishtv site using that number.
I contacted over the phone and asked for REFUND OF THE AMOUNT PAID BY ME as they are not able to install the connection, which request was also not yet attended. Being a Credit Card Transaction I could confirm that the Payment has definitely gone to Bharti Airtel Ltd. and I can't understand why it is not yet done.
I am having a feeling like Deceived / Cheated Prey to AIRTEL and on many occassions I was thinking of surrendering the BroadBand-Telephone Connection also (0452-4200787). I send all the facts through e-mail to AIRTEL also, till date there was no proper reply either about installation or of refund of Money.
MY ADVICE TO ALL PEOPLE - THINK WELL BEFORE YOU OPTING FOR AIRTEL DTH.
