Be careful while booking Airtel Broadband

I use one Airtel Connection in Bangalore.  It is doing fine.  Recently I booked one Airtel Broadband connection to Mysore Office.  One person by name Kantharaj came to our office.  I told him that I am looking for a 2Mbps plan at Rs. 1200/-.

I told him that I do not want any other plan.  He took the money gave a receipt and went. After about 4-5 days he called and told that 2Mbps service is not available currently and that he has booked 512 Kbps speed instead on the direction of his manager. I asked him Whether his manager is his customer or I? I asked him how he can book a connection without my consent and I told him to refund the money. He told it will take 3 months.

I got very irate and spoke to him in tough words. He immediately came to our office and gave Rs. 600/- and went. He told the other 600 will be given by Airtel through a Cheque or otherwise he will give from his salary. It has been more than three months and I have not received any cheque from Airtel and this person is not picking my call.

When I went to the Airtel Customer Center in Saraswathipuram, that person said it is some other agency who is handling the broadband. He asked me to go to another area.  Is this the way Airtel looks after his customers?  I am planning to lodge a police complaint against the person and also implicate Airtel in that.
