Airtel is selling a real weed feature called usage reminder as a great feature. But this is real annoying. There is no way to disable the feature if you do not need it. Any month you run 80% on usage they start diverting your internet connection to their alert server. This is pure hacking as per the IT Act 2000. But what can you do. We know what happened to the 2G scam. No one cares about scams of these people any more. Every 10 mins you connection is disconnected and you are redirected to a page asking you to pay more money to buy more bandwidth.
As per agreement, Airtel was only to reduce my speed to 256kb when I use up fare usage limit. But they do reduce the speed still you keep getting the alert PAY US MORE. Dont be surprised to know I actually have a unlimited usage plan. Still Airtel is allowed to run this scam. Such a scam Airtel. This my daily experience and suffering for last 2 years.
