Regarding Broadband Installation

I should start by saying that history repeats itself. It was 2 yrs back when I applied for airtel broadband service, and the installation was done at my place, I got a phone number, the instrumentand was waiting for the modem. Next day the guy come from Airtel and takes the phone saying"Sir, Its fauly model" and then there is no communication. When I enquired, I was told that the services are not available in your area.


After 2 years, I apply for the broadband service online on airtel website, I get a call from them and I confirm about the availability of the service as I never wanted the previous thing to happen again. I was told that the services are available. August 16th I make the payment and fill the form and I was tol that the services will be installed in maximum 3 days. I get a verification call in 2 days, I get the phone number and I am told that the services wil be installed by 3rd day.


I am in constant touch with Mr. Dilip Kr. Dubey who is the area sales manager, a gentelman who picks the phone only 1-2 times if u call him 50 times. He keeps assuring me that someone is coming to your place today in 1hour to install the broadband but no one turns up and no follow up from Airtels end. I again try to constantly call thisguyand he sends me an SMS saying he is busy at work and he will call me later but no calls rom his side.


I call him from a different number and he picks up the phone and says "Oh no one came to your place, please take tehnumber of Mr. Bilal, he is the head for your area. Mr. Bilal, again convinces and promises that someone is coming to my place to install the connection. The same trai follows with Mr. Bilal of not communicating when no one turns up at my place and I try to call and he does not answer my phone. When I call him from different number he picks up and when recognizes me he disconncets. In the meantime I called customer service on august 22nd and I was told that from our end installation has been done but theservices are to be activated, I told them that nothing has been done at my place yet and I as told that someone will revert back to you on August on 25th.


No calls again, lack of communication again follows from these two guys side. I call the customer support again and I am told, the system are down, but when I ask for a supervisor, I am told that I checked in the system, your aplication shows CANCELLED as on August 25th due to non-availability of connection at your area. I told them that when I enquired about the service I was told that it is available and in 3 days you will have the services.


I applied for the connection on 16/08 and 25/08 my form is cancelled and no one informs me. Is this the customer support that Aitrtel has to provide. Its a shame that they are not able to tell if the service is available in the area when the connection is applied or inquired about and on top of it there sales people just FOOL the people around who are tryin for a new connection.
