Airtel (RELIABLE than reliance). Review on Airtel Broadband

I would like to be a little more organized on my review and suggestions:1.ABOUT CHOOSING A BROADBAND SERVICE:Please first find out the availability of a particular ISP in your area.

When it comes to Airtel these guys will first do a feasibility check on whether a connection at first can be provided to you or not. If you need wireless then even TATA INDICOM does provide you that service.2.WHAT WOULD BE MY REQUIREMENT:My opinion would be first think hard what do you really want to do with your broadband connection.

If you are an office goer who comes back only at night then you could go for TATA INDICOM as AIRTEL has a mandate that you need to take a phone connection too even for a wireless connection. I do not believe in Reliance at all. If you wanna play games and watch movies then take up an unlimited connection without any kind of download limit. If you just wanna chat with your loved ones then you do have an economic plan in place3.WHAT KIND OF SERVICE AM I LOOKING FOR:

If you can put up with frequent "connection lost" problems and do not want to shell out more money then I would suggest that you could definitely go for TATA INDICOM. Its my personal experience with TATA INDICOM that when I accompanied both my colleagues for them getting a TATA connection both of them paid the money upfront but had to wait for almost over a week to get the connection to actually get activated. With Airtel this is not a hassle. Provided you do have the Airtel feasibility in your area, it is RELATIVELY easier to get an Airtel connection activated.4.ABOUT THE PERSONNEL OF THE ISP:The people sitting at the TATA INDICOM sales centre have not co-ordination with their Customer Support. If you have a problem you do not know who to contact even though you have a wireless connection.

But with Airtel once your connection is set up it normally does not give you much problems but even if you do get problems you do have a separate support line for broadband services and they are well equipped. Although after reading through other reviews I did find out that lot of people had problems with Airtel. But I would like to point out that if you do not get frequent problems with your connection you would never get into a tussle with Airtel.5.ABOUT BILLING:

This is one area which both of them cause problems. You need to frequently check your bills if you pay for a limited time connection such as free only @ night connections. But if it is a fixed price then there is no problem with Airtel because you would get uninterrupted service as compared to TATA INDICOM. I did have two problems with the Airtel guys but I had it sorted out.Last but not the least: Please check out :https://airtelbroadband.in6.DISCLAIMER: I do not intend to rubbish any claims that Airtel does cause problems but also want to let people know that Airtel does provide good service and value for money.
