Airtel broadband has finally brought Internet to everyones doorsteps. I have been using Airtel broadband for my home for the last 1 year and I must say that its been hassle free and I am more than happy !!
I remember the time when Airtel had not started its service in NOIDA and I had to opt for a local provider named "24 Online". Those guys literally robbed me.. They charged me Rs. 3000 for installation, and for all that money, all they did was bring a dangling cable till my computer. I had to shell out Rs. 400 each month for 128 Kbps and the download limit was set at 400 Mb. The speed was pathetic and I could hardly download anything, either because the speed was too slow or the monthly download limit just wouldn't allow me. There was also the intermittent problem of disconnection.
Then Airtel arrived. Like, you all know what are the things Airtel does to your home to ensure that cables are permanent (in conduits) and everything work perfectly. It took them a good 2 days to finish the work as they had to do some digging to lay the cables. But finally when it was all over, I had a connection with no worries. All this came for just Rs. 500 ( These days I think installation is for free).
They also gave me a rental free phone. I guess this was given with the thought that if one has a phone, he'll surely use it, and since with broadband connection the phone line is already laid, they might as well let us use it without rental and at the same time earn some revenue. This is a very fine business strategy and I just love Airtel's smartness.
Anyway, actually all I wanted to do was to recommend Airtel Broadband connection. Anybody who
needs a Broadband connection don't think twice and just go for Airtel.
I have one recommendation though : It would be great if Airtel can put all their modem drivers in a proper website instead of using https://geocities.com . Geocities is not so reliable and I have had problems downloading my modem drives. Airtel, please do something about it..
PS: I had to write so much as MS has set a minimum no. of 150 words per review. Not that I am complaining, but I think 100 would be a nice number too.
