Hi Viewers,
I was initially using BSNL and one should say they need improvement in reducing outages. Hence I went for Airtel Broadband.
I'm using Airtel Broadband for last 3 yrs in Bangalore along with their FixedLine and their service is just awesome.
Plan: Rs 1249 plan / 100 GB bandwidth till FUP / 4 MBPS speed.
They have plans for less price too.
ADSL D-Link Modem supports upto 4 MBPS.
Speed: 4 mpbs and it is extraordinary because I have never seen it going below 3 MBPS.
Reliability: They are the best in business in Bangalore. I have just faced 3 or 4 times outage and that too for 2 hrs at max.
Service and Support: Just dial 121 from Landline or raise complaint in APP and they have v. good SLA. I have never seen a CC executive speaking rude. Of course they will boast their new products and services and market it.
Pros of Airtel Broadband:
Huge network across Bangalore*at least in my case).
Excellent customercare support. I have called them only 3 times totally and all the time they provide you ticket number to follow up.
Surprise bonuses in bandwidth. I initially opted for 50 GB but they gave surprises every month by giving bonus GB.(even before JIO)
Good modem and wiring. At least they have D Link ADSL modems which are good and never drops.
Never drops. I never seen it going down for more than 2 hrs. That is the max outage I have seen and seldom.
Cons:
Hugh tariff. Seriously. High speed internet costs a lot.
No landline instrument be provided. We need arrange for it.
Modem cant be configured if you want to switch to Fiber/Vfiber.
What I know is now they do not provide ADSL connections. they only have VFiber. One will be tempted to go to VFiber because of attractive tariff and high speed(not sure if they will maintain that promise).
So people.if you have ADSL connection in Airtel never put curtains to it until you are sure of VFiber because after upgarde to VFiber you cant come back to ADSL.
