Am totally dissatisfied with Airtel broadband service

I am in 4 MBPS plan. I am getting 4 mbps speed as promised but my upload speed sucks. its less than 250 kbps. I should be getting 1/3 of my download speed as my upload speed. i should be getting near about 1 mbps downlaod speed or atlest 900 kbps but most of the times I get only 200 kbps or 250 kbps. i work from home most of the days i need to upload and send some documents to my office regularly i got 4 mbps plan bcoz my broadband usage is high/ i am not getting value for the money I am paying


i am totally tired. i have drafter mails , I also contact your tech support ( worst service ). i used airtel broadband for nearly 5 years. i never had such a pain. last time when I called ur tech support they blindly said that they do not support upload speed ( ref no: 43245160 ). they didnt have the common sense to understand my problem. even if I get 0 kbps as upload speed. they will blindly say that they dont support uplaod speed.


I am not asking for 3 mbps or 4 mbps upload speed.


i just need 1/3 of download speed as upload speed. i had the same problem 1 week before. they recreated my profile at the exchange and after that my upload was 850 kbps. so it is not my problem. its Airtel problem.


if u cannot fix it. let me know. I will my cancel my broadband connection.


NOTE: I HAVE ATTACHED THE SCREEN SHOT OF MY SPEED TEST RESULT

i remember that u called me on 21st of FEB 2011 and said that there is know problem in my speed. And also no problem is found.


Please check the screenshot I have attached. And check the speed what I am getting.


I am in 4 Mbps plan


Check the upload speed and download speed in the result


I spoke to Airtel tech support on 198 number


But I am getting only 0.12 Mbps upload speed


Do u still want to accept that there is no problem.


The below mail that was sent from u (Shashikala E | Appellate Authority ) does not have any information about the problem


U just reminded about my broadband plan in that mail. I don't need that

I spoke to APPELATE team this morning


They just did exactly same like what a normal customer care executive will do


APPELATE team member said that he will send the tech to my home


He said he is not aware about the technical problem


I will explain you what is my problem:

My download speed is 4 Mbps = 512 kbps download data transfer rate: (ie


4x1024/8 = 512 kbps download transfer rate )


Again and again I am saying I do not have any problem with Download speed. My


downlaod date transfer rate is always between 400 to 450 kbps. I am happy with


that


But my problem is the upload speed.


My upload speed is only 100 or 250 kbps ( plz plz plz understand 100 to 200


kbps is not upload data transfer rate. its just the upload speed.)


So if we do a calculation for upload date transfer rate it is: 250 kbps = 0.25


Mbps. So as per above calculation like what we did for download. The same


calculation is applicable here also i.e 0.25x1024/8 = 32 kbps.


So my upload date transfer is only 32 kbps


Finally the ratio is like this : My Download date transfer rate is 512 kbps


and upload data transfer rate is 32 kbps


As per Airtel's commitment upload date transfer speed is 20 to 25 %


of download date transfer speed


for 4 Mbps connection the download data transfer rate is 4x1024/8=512 kbps.


So if u take 25 % of the above speed i.e 512x20/100 = 128 kbps ( plz remember


128 kbps is upload date transfer rate )


So if I want to get 128 kbps as upload date transfer rate. My upload speed


should be 1 mbps. only then the upload data transfer rate will be 128 kbps. ie


1(mbps)x1024/8= 128 (similar calculation as we did for download data transfer


rate)


Every time when I log a fault. Everybody are misunderstanding that am expecting


a upload date transfer rate of 1 mbps.


But ur assumption is wrong. I am expecting only 128 kbps of uplaod data


transfer rate.


But I am getting only 25 to 30 kbps as upload data transfer rate.


Whom ever is reading this mail. should be able to understand my problem. If


still ur not able to understand I do not have any words to express.

My stupid problem is still not fixed

My upload speed is 0.25 kbps (this is upload speed not data transfer rate)


i get 0.25 kbps only if I am lucky. or else the upload speed will be 0.06 kbps (which is of no use)


Am getting download speed of 4.2 Mbps and download speed is always less than 0.25 kbps


what the hell is this.


whom ever reading this mail dont cal me and say that there is no problem


If u do not know the upload and download calculation plzz go the below mail and understand the problem and cal me back.


Am not going to cal 121 or 198


Already I called 100 times


Bcoz even appellate team is not able to fix the problem.


So I dont have hope on 198 complaint desk.
