I have been a costumer of Airtel landline & Broadband connection for the past 9 years. I also use airtel connection for my own office and pay roughly 1-2 lacs per month for their services.
On 27th Aug, my broadband stopped working and I called up the costumer care and told them about the problem at 1pm. They assured me that it would be resolved by 3 pm on the same day. No one came. I called up again at the following times on 27th Aug - 3pm, 5:30pm, 7:30pm. Every time I was told that the engineer would resolve the problem within a couple of hours but nothing was done.
The next day, 28th Aug, I again made approx. 8 calls but was given only false promises by the airtel representatives. I even spoke to the floor supervisor( who btw spoke very rudely and arrogantly) but even he was unable to help.
Today, on 29th Aug, I called someone from outside(not a airtel service person) & the problem was partially resolved at 4 pm. Today also, I had made another 4 calls to the costumer care dept but in vain.
I had also threatened to deactivate my connection and to my surprise, airtel representative told me that I was most welcome to deactivate my connection.
I have never faced this kind of adamant staff anywhere. They were just not ready to help even after some 15-odd calls. It was so bad that I've started believing that they were taking out some personal vengeance on me.
The irritating part was that every time I called and gave my complain no., the rep would tell me that my problem was resolved as per their data. They would themselves assume that my problem was resolved.
I am not going to pay airtel for 3 days this month and would expect a waiver from them.
I am now just waiting for Tata or Reliance to get into this field(dsl bradband) so that I can switch over to them very soon. My relationship with Airtel for over 9 years has ended very sourly.
