Hey Folks

Hope you are all well here...

I really got frustrated with Reliance R- Connect. By the time I was thinking about options, I was attracted with the advt's and price plans given out by airtel. I live in Bangalore. I called the service rep on 26th december 2005 and he came down immediately with de receipt book. He explained me that it just takes only one day to process every thing and put me back online. I did not know that it was just a marketing gimmick by that guy named Prasanth . Neva get carried away with these guyz words... He collected 1000 bucks, happily closed his monthly target and as usual forgot abt me... Trust me, only by 3rd of January 2 men came to fix the wires. Den again I had to wait for 2 more days as the HUB was full. Finally 5th evening they fixed internet in ma home. 6th evening, the link was down. I called the customer service, they walked me through some steps to reset the modem, it will work fine. When it's workin, trust me - has good speed. But Frequent Disconnection problems. Dude's - it's called broad band yaa... 'aint it?? why de heck on world, I am experiencing disconnect issues?? .

Now, this scenario continued each and every other day. Quality people came to ma place, checked every thing. When ever I file a complaint, some engineer is sent home on the same day, regardless if it's a sunday or a monday. I appreciate them on this regard.

When ever you file in a complaint, they look in to it immediately. Give you a complaint number and every thing. They keep on calling you, (pester you), asking FREQUENTLY if the problem was fixed. Guess they are keen in closing the complaint than resolving the issue.

Now I knew what's de actual scene. It was a sunday, I planned to do some work, as usual de went down all of a sudden. I called the technical call center, This was on 15th January 2006. I said, I wanted to speak to the Team Lead. I have spoken to every other person in air tel call center. Now here comes the TEAM LEADER named Akshay. I spoke with him, I said I am not paying the bill for some thing which I am not using it up to de mark. ;)

Akshay was good, he said it will be taken care of. Well, the bill came in on the 26th Jan, for a whoopin' 999 + tax + Voice Usage charges. I called him back and blasted him. Btw, I had the same disconnection issues. I got to a point where I called Hathway cable guyz too. One day in the first week of Feb, A quality guy from Airtel named Rajeev visited my place. He called ( he said it was his HQ) de so called office and blasted some one that this is an issue with copper and not modem. I ve no clue what's copper or de jargons. Feb 20th I spoke with akshay I said that I am not paying the bill for feb, (i ve not paid any until den, other than 1000 bucks deposit). 26th feb, bill came in with a 780rs + tax waiver. March 26th Bill came in for a 999 waiver.

Since feb last week every thing is working fine. No disconnection problems. Touch wood.

I dont know if this is going to continue. Airtel guyz promised me that this will be stable because they have changed the whole underground cable which is installed.

One best thing about airtel z that they respond to you immediately. Dey don' sleep or let u sleep... Call n pester u if de net is working fine.

No broadband, No bill. Decent Deal... 'aint it?

Please forgive me if there are a lotza mistakez in dis review... I mean language, I was sleeeeepppppyyyyy
