My Airte; 4G Hotspot keep switching from 4G to 2G mode after 5 to 10 mins of restarting it. The speed at 2G mode is almost zero. When I raised the online service request, they closed it without contacting me. Good that I have not disconnected my old BSNL BB. I will continue with BSNL. At least BSNL connection is reliable and speed is consistent.
Today, Airtel technician came to my place and fixed the issue by making changes to the router setup. I am providing the steps to fix this problem if you are facing similar issue.
1) Go to Router setup menu at https://192.168.0.1. Login passward is admin.
2) On home screen click on Disconnect button.
3) Go to setting menu.
4) Click on network settings.
5) In sub-menu, click on network selection.
6) Select Automatic and in Dropdown menu, select'4G Only'
7) Click on apply.
8) Go to Home menu and click on connect button.
9) Done.
