Airtel 4g hotspot is a black colour device which lets you use the internet on the go. It is a portable device which when switched on works like a wifi for other device. It is an airtel product which means that the network provider is only airtel and the service of which is very poor.
Airtel Network does not work at all and so now they are giving the hotspot costing 1500 around at around 500 only in certain corporates. Now coming to the services they provide they have an option of selecting 3g or 4g as per your wish. The plans of the hotspot are very expensive where it costs 850 for 1 gb data per day and overall extra 8 gb data for a month which means 38 gb per month. Other service providers give a better plan this especially the jio fi. And now even vodafone has come up with such plans and provides same benefit at 499 per month.
The issue is that once you pick a brand you can use the sim of that network provider only. I have a connection of bangalore and tried using in kolkata but it did not provide a speed of 2g also. I was given an excuse that it will work in the home city only. So I used it in Bangalore and the same issue arised. When I complained again I got an excuse again that they are setting up towers and it will take 2 to 3 months for the service to be good. My only question is that if they do not towers they should stop or pause there services and waste customers hard earned money for tgere benefit without providing services only.
I have raised several complains by calling there number and going to the store but all in vain. They hardly care about there customers and only give excuses. The plans are expensive and the network is too slow. The customer service is pathetic. Moreover when I went to link my number with adhaar there services were disrupted and no proper services are provided again. After waiting for an hour I had to leave because it was taking so much of time. Most of the time the hotspot does not connect to the laptop and to check we need to go to the store and there it is such huge line that you need one full day to resolve the problem and we working class people do not have so much of time. No online service or customer care service is provided for such thing.
I dont think airtel os worth so much of money and I am thinking of switching to other network for the same as there are many competitors but the only issue is you waste the dongle money because they do not give or exchange the devices.
