Airlift is a patriotic movie staring Akshay Kumar as a rich business man of Kuwait who is actually an Indian but with passage of time he has grown distances from his motherland . Akshay lives with his wife and daughter in Kuwait .
They suffers a lot when Kuwait was attacked by Iraq .A large no. of Indians have stuck in Kuwait without shelter and food .while Iraq army man were finding and killing every Kuwaitie . At such Time Akshay Kumar helps people in the best way he can the love to his country and motherland has arose in his heart again . when he can safely went out from this situation with family keeping them safe he choose to stay there and help every Indian stuck in Kuwait .
He arrange shelter, food, money and every basic need for those people and help them to return back to their homeland i.e. India .
