Recently we saw a lot of people talk about the film 'Airlift'. Even I got curious and went to the theatre to watch the film and it was a nice experience. Akshay Kumar has done a great job with his acting and even Namrita has done well. The cast is simple and good. There were no signs of overactive or lack of acting. The film indeed makes us proud as Indians.
The film also was caught in a controversy of degrading the Indian government. But I didn't notice any such thing. Whatever has been told in the film is presently happening in our country. This true incident is about the difficulties faced by the Indians in Kuwait when they were attacked by Iraq. The director is successful in carrying the story to be interesting till the end. The character of Akshay Kumar is named as Ranjit Katiyal. This character holds the responsibility of two major people who took the responsibility of safety of more than a lakh of Indians during the attack.
The songs and background music is also good. Especially the song 'De di' has become quite popular. The background music provides the right effect at the right time. The camerawork is also good. The whole film has been shot out of India and the cameraman has also done a good work in showing Kuwait beautifully as well as dangerously after the attack of Iraq. The editing is also quite good since I did not feel that any unnecessary scenes have been added or cut off. The introduction of many characters such as Mr. George adds to the flavor of Indian discipline. It also introduces some jeering to the film. There is also use of some visual effects. It has been used in a limit and it is quite good. Overall Airlift is a good movie which has been altered slightly by the director for the sake of entertainment. But still it does not change the plot of the film completely. It still remains a good movie and has given a break to Akshay Kumar after a long time. According to me everyone must watch this movie along with their families as it is worth a watch and provides you a good experience worth your money.
