Aircel has pathetic coverage in Hyderabad. Review on Aircel Mobile Operator

I bought an Aircel SIM about3 months ago, when I moved into Hyderabad. The Aircel store was situated close by, so just walked in and bought a new SIM.(I must say that the store staff was very courteous).

However, the real problem started when I moved back to home. The signals kept on coming and going. Unless I am on the road or in the open area, I would never get full coverage. The situations became worse inside the buildings, work area or at my home, and I am not speaking about a remote village, I am talking about the heart of Hyderabad city.

Anyways, I complained to the customer care deptt., and the person said that problem will be resolved within 10 days. I said that will you install a new tower in 10 days; the lady said no but someone will initiate the process in next 10 days, and another 90 days to solve it!

After that, within a week I received several calls(being a corporate customer) about that network coverage problem, but the coverage went from worse to worst. I was out of coverage for almost 10-14 hours a day, and with just 1-3 signal indicators over the rest of the day.

I finally made a call again to customer care, and said that I am going to close this account and switch to an operator, where I could at least make some calls. She again gave me standard answer, sorry for the inconvenience, etc, etc. I politely reminded her that I am no longer interested in their services and if they did not improve their services in the area(Lingampally, ChandanNagar, Gachibowli, Kukkatpally, Kondapur, etc. they are potentially at risk of losing several hundreds of customers.

P.S. I also emailed to their nodal authority mentioned on their website, but that poor guy also did not bother to reply. I gave them almost three months’ time to resolve, but in vain.

My final advise: Do not take an Aircel connection in Hyderabad(and perhaps AP as well).
