I didnt know what I was getting into when I decided to buy Aircel 3g dongle for internet access, maybe I just got carried away with the CSK & Dhoni hype.

Aircel seems to be out competing for the worst customer service award and doing fine and winning hands down, I challenge you to find something worse than this. sample this, if you are a 3G customer you cannot talk to customer service because your dongle was only supposed to access internet! can you beat that?

but hold on, if you are someone who cannot go to sleep without giving customer service a piece of your mind, then dont worry, Aircel solution for that is, please dial our external customer service number from your Vodafone or Airtel connection,

I mean is this really 2012? can a company really tell its customers to use competition phone to call their own customer service? that too for one of their highest profit making segment? Aircel exactly does just that.

now ok so I bought a prepaid 3g connection - how do I know my remaining balance? straight answer, you will know when you can no longer access internet - thats precisely the time you have run out of data quota or simply the 30 day validity. Sorry Aircel is too busy fixing other problem to even let you know how things work. you mean, they really dont have a system? well not really, they have, problem is they have so many, that every time you get to customer service they give you a different short code to find you data balance, unfortunately I tried all of them and NONE works, some them include 11142#, 1266# total crap - the message comes back as you have 0 balance or the number does not exist., which number? God probably knows that

I switched to tata photon and life's been peacful ever since, a simple interface, which directly takes you to the website where you can track you data, even reliance I found to be pretty decent and so does bsnl service, but aircel 3g - please stay away
