AIR ODISHA NOT REFUNDING MONEY AFTER FLIGHT CANCELLATION
My sincere advice: NEVER EVER EVER. choose Air Odisha. Bunch of thugs who either don't have money to run their business or are too incompetent to sustain the model laid down by our honorable state ministers to connect industrial cities with capital.
I believe it's an organized SCAM where they target people who are on tight schedules and who don't have time to follow up later on their refunds or even file a complaint, because it's not worth taking so much pain for a small amount. But in fact, like them many others who fell victim and chose not to act, actually contributed to this SCAM. I am therefore sharing my experience with you all and would request to share it as much as possible to spread awareness.
First of all their website won't work most of the times and when it works, you would see it under maintenance. If you are lucky you would be able to book tickets online. Just like I did on 9th May for my journey planned from Bbsr to Rou on 14th May. But they called me on 13th evening to inform that the flight had cancelled due to technical reasons, and they would refund my money by 17th.
Not only they informed me late but also screwed my travel plan and I had to book another flight and train for subsequent journey, which was inconvenient and costed me more. But I had no choice given the urgency of my travel.
On 18th, I checked my account to see if they had refunded my money but there was no refund made!
I tried following after this:
Called the Air odisha representative Rupesh(9776110037), with whom I was in contact until booking got confirmed on 9th May. He had been so cordial and supportive until I asked him about my refund. He said he can't talk to me on this as he had resigned already and so I should be asking someone else.
Checked their website to log a complaint to their helpdesk, but the website was down
Tried the numbers given on my Itinerary(0674-3277747, 0674-3217747) and I found them invalid
Tried sending mail to their helpdesk id(helpdesk@airodisa.com) and it bounced back
Tried calling the same number from which I had got the cancellation call on 13th(0674-2596747), but no one Faizabad
Called Bhubaneswar Airport authorities and got to know that Air Odisha personnel had not been coming to counters lately. But I mAnasultanged to get their Director's number(Mr NehaRanjan Behera 9437231092/ 8908118600). I called him and his first reaction was "WRONG NUMBER", when I mentioned about my case. But when I told him that I got his number from Airport authorities, he then acknowledged and gave me another number of their MAnasultanger(Mr Joseph 9937126225). I tried calling Joseph but he didn't answer
On 19th Afternoon, I called again to the Air Odisha Bhubaneswar office(0674-2596747) hoping someone would pick up this time, and after few rings one lady picked up. I told her about my case and shared all my details. She said that my refund request had not been forwarded yet to the accounts department and she wanted transaction proof with date and time in order to process. I asked her for a valid email address where I can send those details and also asked her to send me a confirmation email once she has forwarded my request for refund. She acknowledged and asked me to send mail to ops@airodisha.com
I sent mail to ops@airodisha.com with a copy of my itinerary and screenshot of transaction with date and time. Fortunately, this time it didn't bounce back and I was hoping it would get expedited.
But, no acknowledgment from Air Odisha so far, and yet again, no one is answering my calls.
Now, I don't understand why did Odisha government allow such thugs to run business under their nose and do day light robbery. If they are incapable/ incompetent to maintain their websITES_Company, their operations, their staffs and overall service for such short duration flights with a small caesna, why not contract some other vendor or just scrap the model?
