In December 2012 I traveled by Air India AI 518 from PNQ to BLR (Via HYD).
Equipment was brand new Airbus A 319. Interior was very fresh, and clean, with in flight entertainment, and flight information system. Entertainment was limited but enough for small flight. Departure and arrival was on time, rather before time we reached BLR @ 15 min Before the scheduled time. Communication was very good. Seats were comfortable, Entertainment controls & seat movement controls were working properly. Food served was good menu could have been better.
Overall it was a very great experience. Probably I was not expecting any of this, or may be I was a little judgmental, hence I was in total shock. Unexpectedly great experience!
I was really surprised with all this, I think AI is also improving.
I will definitely fly Air India again ... Hope it will be similar or even better experience ...
