Air India, This airline is one of the most common airline majority of gujarati families uses travelling through JFK, USA to Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India via London to Mumbai or Delhi. I was traveling with 6 people. with 3 adults and 3 kids ages 3,2 and 1 yrs. January 2001. Our destination was offcourse Ahmedabad. The plane never took off from JFK, cause of the mechanical problem. So they gave a night stay at the motel for 24hrs. and next evening we were on our way to London with the same plane that had a mechanical problem. After we reach London, they told us to stay in the plane. After waiting in the Plane for 2 hrs. they told us to get down from the plane cause of another mechanical problem. We were at London HEATHROW airport for 8 hours without any accommodation provided by AirIndia. Note: London Passengers traveling to India were waiting for 48hrs. but they were all accomodated properly. You can imagine, if you are traveling with kids for more than 2 days how hard that could be... One of the London Passenger was also traveling with kids and she finally ended up calling BBC WORLD NEWS to report this problem that Air-India was having and how were they handling this situation to be broadcast on BBC NEWS. Anyway, We finally got on the plane and we were on our way to Mumbai. We were once again Stuck there for 3hrs. in Mumbai for the flight (Indian Airlines - part of Air-India)to Ahmedabad. Since majority of the people were going to Ahmedabad, they were calling there families to leave there homes late. Not to mention my other trip in 1996 traveling with 13 ppl and stuck in Delhi for 12hrs. I am sure lot of you have experince Air-India like I have, but WHAT CAN WE DO TO STOP THIS>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
