I travelled with this airline after a long time and was shocked and dissappointed to see their attitude towards passengers and cleanliness in general. Breakfast and lunches are served in trays similar to the prison system. Today we have grades of food as in restaurants, hospitals and prisons and Air India beats prison food hands down to take the bottom spot. My flight from TVM - MAA- SIN had strong smell of urine the sort of smell you have in cars with dirty filters. We were served vegetarian only food and forced to accept it since they were not many non-veg packs to go around even for Business Class. What a clever tactic to fool passengers?.
In order to understand the philosophy of Air India standards, have a closer look at the photo of cup attached. Even the homeless should not be served in those cups.
