I read most of the reviews and they look pretty bad for Air India. I will give you my opinion in few but please answer following questions for me or just write it down.


-How many of you fly n regular base? Like how many times a week? Yes it is week?


-What class do you fly?


-How many times you have first class or business class?


-How many phone calls do you make to save few $$s?


-How many of you know something about services Air Hostesses (flight attended)?


-How many of you have flown Foreign Carriers?


All these reviews I read is about How Bad Air India is. Let me ask you how many times do you fly to experience ?services? in flight? What do you want in flight? FA is there for your protection and not your servants. I read keep about ?smiling FA what?s up with that? I have flown AIR many times and never had a problem? If they have delayed flight I was put in Hotel with a meal coupons and drinks too. Try to fly other Airlines and you will experience the service? Let me tell you my fiends as soon they see you kiss your service good bye. I have flown BA and I had to ask for water five times before FA showed up to my seat.


If you want service try flying First class and you will get service? Here you are trying to save what ever you can and the same time you are asking to be treated like a king? I have flown on all Major US airlines and my job require me travel every week. I read that Airhostesses are old; hey your mother is old too. What do you want from them? I think all FA are sometimes rude not by choice but the stuff they have to put up with the job. I am sure you are not always pleasant at work all the time.


Lets talk about food. On any Airlines you have to buy the food. They will only give a can of Soda and bag of Pretzels. Air India is doing a fine job with food. Thank god you don?t have to buy it. You can?t expect gourmet food on flight if you want that get in to First class they do serve you that on Air India flight. In 1997 I was flying to JFK to BOM and I asked for a food three times and I got food every time asked for it with a smile. I asked to visit the cockpit and I was allowed to visit the captain and spent 10 to 15 minutes. I also sat in Upper deck and no one bothered me.


Air India does have some problem but its not that bad. I think Air India needs to improve on ground service it?ll better. They should be more staff at Counter and baggage claims. Whole AIR sucks is just a mentality. I fly Air India any time. One review I read about waterfall is amazing I can?t believe Air India was not fined for that. I think passenger should have file a police complaint for that one.


Given Air India is not the best of all but its not that bad either. They have fleet of youngest 747-400 on all US routes and you are lucky that they are even flying to USA. When I cam to USA they were only flying to JFK three times a week.


Lets talk about toilets on AI flights. Its not Air India?s fault that if some passenger decides not to flush the toilet. Do you expect FA to do it? Or carry a plumber on plane. Its up to passenger to do it.


Air India needs to do better job with red tape. For example confirm your ticket 72 hours in advance. Why do I need to do that? If am traveling they don?t need to worry about visa or check my green card. I don?t understand why Air India is so interested in my green card at JFK? If they need ID they can see my Driving License. Why? These minor things can change their image.


Air India staff in India is a mess and they need to look after their customers I agree with that but my experience tells me that all ground staff are same. I have experience that my self in USA basically it?s the crap they have to put with. Many time customers think staff should have all the answers. Wrong. They low paying jobs and they are at the bottom where they don?t get full info. They just follow the order.


Air India will never be great airlines as long as government is involved. Keep in Mind this is a govt. run airlines.
