I am a student and I don't earn yet. Thus I am not a frequent flier and the experience of sitting in an aeroplane still excites me ! The only airline in which I have travelled so far is Indian Airlines : (Our National Carrier ) My most recent flying experience was in the form of 3 flights : Delhi-------Bangalore, Bangalore--Trivandrum, Trivandrum-----------------Delhi.. The -- stands for distance.
The ground staff at delhi was very busy and didn't seem to have time for us. After all, we reached the airport 2 hours in advance and our flight was delayed.
Obviously, we were not the task on hand.We were finally called for a security check which was more of a formality as I was not even checked. I had to get my hand baggage checked myself!!!
I boarded the plane still very very excited and looking forward to my sojourn in the air. We were rapidly told about the security precautions which was in Hindi + English Well, it was not understandable. The plane took off and we were served with some refreshments.( The mere look of these destroyed my appetite.
My parents are vegetarian and were asked :''ARE YOU A PURE VEG?? WE ARE A LITTLE SHORT ON VEG......er...CAN U EAT CHICKEN??'' After about 20 minutes, they were served with even more awful snacks.( some oily pakoras and a piece of paneer.....yuck!!)
The air-hostess (there was even a male host on trivandrum-delhi) were just about rude. I was too scared to ask for the sugar packet for my coffee.
Leaving aside flight timings, food and service, the seats were quite comfy
There was ample legroom and stretching room. After about 15 hours of total flying time in IA, I safely concluded that there must be better options.
When I'll earn enough to fly economy class....maybe I'll fly another day on a different airline.
