Air India the worst flight ever. Review on Air India

I had an airticket for UAE, my parents me and my baby who is by the way only 10 months old. This was my first journey in Air India.Although I have travelled in Air India Express the budget version which I swear is a great flight with great service, this was my first time in Air India.I was well aware of all the problems going on about Air India. Still it is our International Flight right????

So we check in two hours earlier as they say that is 7 in the morning for the flight scheduled at 9.(oh! Air india is so punctual in these matters).Then we wait there at the gate, with the baby in hand when the airport announces the delay of the flight by one hour.Oh drat!Anyways its usual for a flight to be delayed by an hour.So we wait there again to find the flight delayed by another one hour making the arrival time at 10.Normal for Air India.Then after sometime the schedule board without any announcement changes the departure time to 11.15.We wait there and eats the food provided which by the way is a piece of cake and a potato ball that affects your stomach first thing in the morning.Anyway we board the flight by 11.

*Everybody is in their seats and what I see is that I sitting in atacky old flight and the crew oh! dont kid me!!!!They look my grand mothers.Where the hell did the rule of age limit go?Anyway the pilot announces the departure of the flight.

"Welcome onboard .Sorry for any inconvenience caused and we will be off is few minutes and thank you for your co operation." and there goes the AC.Well it literally went off and there we sit sweating.Then after a few minutes people start asking whats wrong with the AC and then comes an answer we least expected."The flight engine seems to have some problem.We will take off as soon as it is solved."

We wait.

Half an hour passes.nothing!(oh we got a glass of water) and the captain told us their engineers were looking into the matter and they will soon get it resolved.

Again we wait, , , , , ,

Another half an hour we get a juice each and the same captain with the same dialogue.

One person responds asking why they had us onboard and they answer with all their cool...."Maam we knew it only after we were boarded.Great.

Atleast get the AC working.

We are really sweating(actually baking in a cabin) my baby starts bawling and I am going crazy.

Another hour passes, they serve us food and shows a movie whick kind of indicates that the flight might be not taking off.After a long wait people got so impatient that they went to meet the captain.And at last at 3 in the evening they declare so elegantly that the flight would not be able to depart that day.They said that we had to get off the flight!

We get off the flight and on reaching the airport we are sent to different hotels. When we reached our hotel, the staff welcomed us and asked us how long we will be staying and what room we would like to have.We said double and they said "that would be so and so rupees"

My dad says"That is none of our business.It is on Air India" They say"We dont know anything about it.No message from Air India" So we wait there and the hotel staff had to call airindia to know what happened.

So we stay there and the next day we are taken to cochin in AI express and from there to AUH in Emirates.And the funniest thing is that only 20 could leave for DXB that day .The others were left waitng.And when I reached the airport next day , the schedule board still said the departure time of AIr india as indefinite.!!!!
