IC 772 and IC 771 Experience
Departure on 17th of July by IC 772. Suddenly we came to know that there was a transport strike in Kolkata and there was no way in which one can get out of the airport. This flight was scheduled to reach at 8:10 in the morning. I got a call from Air India stating the same and asking me for options on what I wanted to do. Since it was just a weekend trip, I was a little hesitant in changing it back. Hearing that, Air India themselves moved the dates on either sides by a day - and that too without any penalty. Hats off to them, cant think of anything better that has happened to me in my entire flying experiences with the domestic airlines. The food was good and the expectations were all well set. You might not have the air crew of Kingfisher airlines(who smiles with a deep disrespect and arrogance behind) but the crew was very very professional.
COming back IC771 - again flight was on time and since we know what to expect, it was rather more. The aircraft was empty being a monday flight and once the takeoff was over, the aircrew came and personally told us to take the back seats three in a row if we wanted to sleep.
My observation is that, this is one airlines where expectations are set and are extremely professional.(just like AA - American Airlines). We should give them a lot more chance rather than giving Kingfisher and Jet those options.
