Look before you leap. Review on Air Canada

This is not my review I am just writing what my friend told me about his experience with Air Canada

Outbound and inbound flights more or less on time. No Personal movie selection, Air Canada seems to have deteriorated recently. Same with meals which were essentially the same as on Air Canada domestic flights. No starter, just a salad. I swear the main course is smaller - and it is dumped on your tray at the beginning rather than serving it seperately. Same with cheese / desert - it comes with the tray at the beginning. The meals were more like enhanced economy rather than International Business class. Very disappointing. Are these changes because Air Canada is enjoying a monopoly position after owning Canadian Airlines?? Quite probably. Flights seat configuration are - smaller seats, less legroom, no personal video.
