My son boarded Air Arabia flight # G9 164 at Dammam on 26/12 and the connecting flight G9 465 was from Sharjah - Delhi at 1300 hrs same day. The flight from Dammam took off an hour late.
When the boy reached the gate at Sharjah at almost 1300 hours, Air Arabia staff told him that he missed the flight. Immediately the boy approached the Transfer Desk for help, where staff told him the same thing and blatantly asked him to buy new ticket.
Request of passenger to put him on next flight fell on deaf ears.
The attitude of staff at Transfer Desk was hostile and the staff showed no courtesy to help the boy. Despite several calls, Air Arabia call center offered no help!
Obviously the staff at Sharjah had all the information about the flight # G9 164 and they knew very well that the boy did land at Sharjah. Despite holding boarding pass for Sharjah-Delhi flight, why then the staff did not try to locate him physically?
Given the area of Sharjah airport, they could have easily located him. Even staff did not show mercy or courtesy to the helpless boy to provide him food and hotel accommodation.
I am sure Air Arabia auctioned the seat to highest bidder for profit and left the boy out in the cold. He flew the following day after 24 hours.
The utter deplorable behavior of the staff caused agony to the boy for 24 hours and more importantly he missed his exam of 27th Dec 2014.
