She sniffed me and uttered .... Review on Agua Brava

and I know my mirror will yawn and give me a sad look for throwing such a question at him almost everyday. If “narcissus” (the handsome hunk who fell in love with his image) would have been alive, he would have committed suicide with the mere knowledge of the fact that someone as “average looking” (you can add ‘below’ before average based on your opinion) as me can be so obsessed with self.

But then being ditched thrice by the same person, it was no-news-to-me that I do-not-belong to the category of people, who can make people fall-in-love at the first sight (even four, five meeting will not help, I tried that as well). So for such “(Un)Lucky-in-love-lads” it is important to look presentable and well groomed and one thing which can never fail to turn-on (almost everything) is a good fragrance.

My Set Wet Zatax the only solace of my non-bath-daysfailed to impress people after couple of months. Deodorant tends to loose its charm after a point just like those “new-love-marriage-couple” who have nothing to add after a point of time (no offence). Major reason behind it is the fact that they are so commonly bought-used-abused. Visualize a scenario when your “latest date” (in-trying-to-prove-loyalty-phase) smell just like you (reason the numerous hugs that you exchange) but you aren’t sure whether she got it by you or some other TDH wearing the same deo. Gosh !!

And again reaffirming the fact that if you are the guy with “Common Face” like me, you need to have at least an uncommon fragrance which can make heads turn. But knowing all this gyan isn’t enough, it’s a tedious task to choose the right perfume. Being Man keeps me impatient at any shopping counter so finally came to my solace my dear friend “Nakul” who is big time into personal grooming and I can vouch any day his choice of perfumes.

He gifted me “Brave” by Agua BravaFragrances couple of months back and my obsession with good odour took a flight many steps ahead.

I belong to one of those rare species whose wish list contains only expensive item which are meant to be gifted by others. I ensure I keep talking about them and my birthday, sometimes it falls on some deaf ears but sometimes it works (wink wink) And perfumes belongs to one such lot.

“Brave” became a more special to me as it wasn’t gifted on any special day and any surprise gift fills me with joy. I remember the stupid grin on my face throughout the day and the fragrance that lingered longer the usual and mesmerized me to the core.

The moment I smelt the perfume I knew it’s an expensive affair and are meant for special moment and special people [SPECIAL] whom you expect to linger with you a little longer than usual. I kept it in a SAFE DRAWER, reason being a bachelor and staying with a bunch of shameless flock of roommates who doesn’t mind using all possible reachable items which can be used including your TOWEL or SOCKS.

So the perfume saw the actual sunlight only after one an half month when I met my college crush and decided to go for a long-long ride. As we met at a predefined location we exchanged hugs and kisses like a typical “Page 3” Celebs and first thing she spoke was not “I-missed-you” (Ironically) it was “Hey-you-smell-so-good”. Before my lips made half circle downwards --- she added “You look so different and you smell so right” . Now gals have this weird way of complimenting that you can’t be sure whether they are praising or “Le rahi hai…” . But I was reaffirmed with the fact throughout the way when she sat closer than usual and placed her head slightly on my shoulders to breathe in probably the constant fragrance of “Brave – Agua Brava”. On her insistence also, I did not share the “Perfume” Name, probably I did not want her future boyfriend to wear the same one.[%$#@] or else you can blame it on Male vanity(yeah this is a revelation that male species possess vanity too )

But then let me not be those selfish morons who hates to share their success formula (Now why I am calling myself successful is not a brain teaser, you can read in-between the lines). So here are the details about the perfume:

Looks: The bottle looks elegant in its dark green color with a silver knob. Its round disc shaped and fits right in the palm and gives you an ease of spray as well.

Fragrance: Its basically comes under citrus/fruity classification and carries following mix of notes: Lavender, Bergamot, Lemon, Juniper, Pine, Carnation, Moss, Laurel Leaf, Sandalwood, Musk, Sage, Patchouli, Vetiver, and Leather (Now don’t ask me why leather?)

Target audience: Mature (Though I do not count myself still in that section of people)

Fragrance lasts: Though company claims that it last 6-8 hours but I have realized that it last 2-3 days even when your Shirt is just hanging in the cupboard it spreads the odour like anything.

Price: its comes into 100 ml 3.4 FL OZ and cost INR 1100 – but its worth it.

Occasion to wear – You can wear it in formals occasions or parties as well but be choosy in terms of who deserve it right[ :P ]

It does effect how I feel when I wear “Brave Agua Brava” and now I know why the PUIG claims following:
