Agrawal Classes, Dadar. Review on Agrawal Classes, Tilak Road, Pune

Agrawal Classes, they are the most sought-after classes for HSC preparations, and for the right reasons. Agrawal Classes, Dadar were established in 1953 by Prof. G. D. Agrawal as Agrawal Mathematics Tutorials (earlier in Matunga). And they have come a long way.

Before I begin, I would like to tell you that I myself was a student of this coaching class for HSC 2004, so I think I have first-hand and latest information about them.

Why join classes?

I have read people saying, ?Classes are not necessary, they are centres of extracting money.? I agree to a certain extent but I would say that Classes are the ?path-makers?. If you can study and coach yourself, there is nothing like it. But unfortunately, mostly everybody lacks this passion for studying and this is where the classes play their role. Coaching classes know what they have to do and they do it.

Thanks to the education system we have in India, it doesn?t matter how hard you have studied through your course, what matters is your performance in those 3hours (or whatever the duration may be) of the exam. The coaching classes prepare you for improving your performance and so we can?t really blame them.

Admission procedures

1. The forms are available TWO YEARS before you actually appear for the HSC exam. Just after your SSC results are out, give them a call at 24141615 or visit them at https://agrawalclasses.net

   
   




2. You get the form from their office in Dadar (they have NO BRANCH!), and you submit the form after filling it completely.

   
   




3. Admissions are given only to those who secure more than 280 on 300 in Maths and Science in SSC. (There are similar rules for ICSE and CBSE too.) This limit is however subject to change. (For 2004 admissions, it was changed to 282 because of less number of seats)

   
   




4. Then, the list is put up at their office, you are mailed the list. IF your name has appeared on the list, you are lucky. You deposit the fees (and no, it doesn?t take even 10-15 minutes all because of their efficient management.)

   
   




5. The classes begin and you have an experience of your life!

   
   

Different Aspects of Agrawal Classes

1.Each batch has around eighty students, there being 13 batches.

2.The rules laid down are strictly followed. No mobile phones in the classrooms (If you have one, you are asked to deposit it in the office and collect it back before leaving. If your mobile phone rings, you are suspended for two days!) There are several other rules, but then, not too strict ones.

3.Tests are conducted throughout the year and if taken seriously, help a lot. Attendance to these tests is compulsory. If you skip a test, you are told to skip the next two lectures too! ;)

4.Teaching staff includes best of teachers from various places in Bombay. Undoubtedly they are good, but would certainly seem torturing if you are ?too bored to study?.

5. The non-teaching staff: The peons are helpful. The management is efficient too.

6. The results: The results of Agrawal Classes say it all. This year?Gargi Pandit? topped Mumbai board this year and ?Sneha Deshpande? topped Mumbai in the Medical Entrance Exam.
