Real reason why Agoda rates are low. Review on Agoda

My original review bellow is more than a year old now, so I decided to update it, since than I have used it myself, so there is no reason not to recommend it to others.You need to be careful though, as like other popular website which void transaction if you make a mistake and report it in less than 24 hrs, Agoda don't give much support. If you get a good deal and everything works fine, its good, but if any problem comes.... but it is same with other sites too.

Recently used makemytrip, which is worst, and made me to review my review about Agoda.

I have used Agoda twice and I do not intend to use them every again.

Booked hotel through them in Germany and dont know how dates got selected as July instead of June. I agree it is myfault, I should have been careful, but once I brought it to their notice, they said they don't refund any money on cancellation or modification but they are taking my case as exception / human error and get it modified.

Then they replied hotel is fully booked for new dates whereas on their own website they are taking fresh bookings for the same dates !!, when I wrote this to customer care, they replied we cannot refund any money, you can cancel & book on new dates. June & July... there is one month difference, even if I booked by mistake, I am cancelling it more than 30 days before arrival, they should refund the money.

I ended up loosing more than Rs 20, 000 and now I realize how do they offer less rate. They are not in India, so you cannot even sue them !
