'Murder on Orient Express' rings a bell !!! Agatha Christie and her figment of imagination Poirot, have kept the thrill and adrenaline alive in many a reader for several decades now. I decided to get to know the creator a little closely and picked up her autobiography and what a ride it is from the start !
She doesn't care for a chronology or to tell a perfect tale. All she wants to do as she says is, put her hand into a bag of memories and offer whatever she can get her hands on.
She wrote this book at the age of 75 but she has captured even her earliest memories with the most childlike enthusiasm - infact it is so vivid that it is contagious and you are transported to your own childhood.
She doesn't care to tell a story..it feels like she is writing for herself with no pretension or care of how she or her family would be perceived.
I never thought I would be able to read an autobiography with so much of anticipation, cheer and wonder...but here you have Agatha Christie who will make you a part of the plot whether you choose to or not !!! I am yet to finish this book but couldn't wait to share my excitement with all
