I utilized the services of Agarwal Packers & Movers(AGR) for shifting from KOLKATA to NAVI MUMBAI just a week back.
Since the time I sent the enquiry for the quotation till the receipt of my household material at my new place, my engagement with Agarwal Packers & Movers has indeed been a pleasant affair. This time my appreciation is even more, because unlike last time, I was personally supervising the entire shifting process tightly. But frankly speaking, even if I had simply laid sprawled out on the couch, AGR would have nicely completed the job.
I had inquired with a few others & most of them had either not bothered to call back or quoted 20% cheaper than AGR. But with my previous experience with AGR & after hearing the sob story of my colleague with another Gurgaon based Packers & Movers, I decided to once again repose my trust with AGR.
QUOTATION BY EMAIL
The quotation came in a hard copy as well as by email for my record. The Labour came exactly at the scheduled day & time and began the packing work. All through the process, I did not have to even speak a sentence or move a finger, so efficient was their work.
The Unpacking was as smooth as the Packing process. The Labour packed the Bed, Linen & Fridge in water-proof packing and the documents were packed in cardboard.
IMPROVED PACKING OF LCD/LED TV SETS*
Worth mentioning is their improved packing of LCD/LED TV sets. Earlier the TVs were packed in cardboard boxes & the risk of damage was quite high. This time AGR packed the TV in an Wooden Box, thereby drastically minimizing the chances of damage to the TV set.
TRACKING FEATURE
Another notable thing, is that they have started a GPS TRACKING FEATURE on their website, which is quite useful & using which we can predict the number of days in which our consignment is likely to arrive at the destination.
The Tracking feature gives the location & details of the Truck carrying the goods alongwith the speed of movement.
BUT.a few botherations(SCOPE FOR IMPROVEMENT)
Although content with AGR, I would still like to enumerate certain issues so that my review remains impartial.
The only thing damaged was a Earthen Idol of my Household Goddess which was extremely disturbing for me. Therefore, one precaution I would like to give to my readers is that to keep on moving & checking in what boxes the labour are packing, else after unpacking, some small size items may get displaced and it may be hassling exercise to find out documents & small household items if they get misplaced.
AGARWAL may kindly improve to reduce clutter & improve packaging of kitchen, toiletry & other items, because my toiletry case was found to be heavily leaking & messy.
Secondly, be prepared to shell out a tidy sum of money at both Source & Destination locations as tip to the the labourers.
INSURANCE
Third, AGR unnecessarily harps too much on the Insurance, in my view Insurance claim values can never match actual tangible or intangible values of the goods and in fact are always disputable in their very nature. Further, they take enormous amount of time to settle, hence I decided to overlook the Insurance of this goods. Instead, I preferred to stress upon them for proper packing.
However, as an afterthought I would still recommend customers to put insurance values at least to the costliest items.
A suggestion to AGR - To take feedback from their clients would be a good step forward.
After taking AGR's service two times, I would unhesitatingly recommend others to go for AGARWAL PACKERS & MOVERS.
