My experience with Agarwal packers and movers( http://www.agarwalpackers.in) is limited to car transportation. Car was given to them in Ranchi on 23-Feb-2012 and they delivered it on 21-Mar-2012 in Pune. Scheduled delivery date was 04-Mar-2012.
Knowing that most car carriers take less than what they promise, I called their Ranchi office on 03-Mar, I was told car will be delivered on Monday 05-Mar. When it did not arrived, I called up Ranchi office again, and was told that they will get back to me in couple of hours. By evening, I got impatient and started calling their Hyderabad office and got hold of one Mr Reddi. Between 05-Mar and 14-Mar, I called their Ranchi, Pune, Hyderabad office 4-5 times a day.
Every time, either I am told to wait for a return call or was given a new date and time. In between, they also brought in driver of the car carrier and also the so called owner of car carrier and the broker. Sometime, I was told that car carrier hsa broken down and will take couple of days to repair. Some other time, it was an excuse that RTO has stopped the vehicle between Hydrabad and Pune and it has been cleared and I will get my car in next two days. This next two days never ended.
Finally on 14-Mar, I received a call from one Mr Ajit who said he is regional manager of that area(Jharkhand, Bihar, Orrisa, etc). He told me that he just got a message that a car from Ranchi was still not delivered in Pune, even after three weeks. He promised me to deliver the car by Sunday 18-Mar. While he promised me to keep updated where the car carrier is on daily basis, he called me back or tried to calm me whenever I called him. Finally, on Monday 19-Mar, he gave me the news that car carrier has started from Hyderabad and my car will be delivered on Tuesday morning. Knowing the distance between Hyd an Pune, I guessed it will not come until Wed.
Finally, I got it today. Though, happy to see my car, I know I will never use this Agarwal packers again.
Most distressing among all were Mr. Reddi who failed to show a natural courtesy of giving the right information to the customer.
I would have given negative star if permissible.
