I contracted Agarwal Packers, DRS Group( http://www.agarwalpackers.in) for household and car shifting from New Delhi to Hyderabad in Jun 2010(Invoice Number: 4106137) -


Timeline


·


The households promised to reach by morning Sat, Jun 12 reached on evening Sun, Jun 13 WITHOUT ANY prior notice. I called up on Fri, Jun 11 as well to confirm and was told that the consignment will reach the next morning. This affected my entire plan, and I along with family was left HELPLESS with NO accommodation in a new city, thereby incurring an ADDITIONAL COST of~Rs. 5, 000(towards hotel and local travel expenses)

The car promised to reach by Jun 17-18(8-9 days) reached on Jun 23(14 days) with NO prior notice


·  On the loading day, the executives reached at 12:00 noon(committed for 10 am) and WITH NO packing material. The materials reached at 3:30pm, and the loading completed at 12:00 MID-NIGHT. The executives did NOT even bother to leave the house in a living condition at this odd hour


·         The executive in Hyd supposed to report for the survey of delivered households on Jun 19 HAVE NOT reported as yet, despite repeated follow-ups


Payment


·


The terms of payment(60% upfront and 40% on delivery) agreed upon by Sombir Singh was NOT adhered to. I was forced to make the entire payment, 10 days ahead of delivery of the car


Unresponsive


·


The sales person(Sombir Singh) did not seem to have ANY RESPONSIBILITY, besides giving a quote. He did NOT answer his mobile most of the times, and NEVER called back giving false promises


·         There was an instance, wherein he was supposed to return my call in 15 minutes to confirm the Hyderabad guys, the payment terms agreed upon with him. NEITHER did he call back NOR was he bothered to answer my call DESPITE 40-50 REPEATED ATTEMPTS from my end


·         There was NO single point contact(both in Delhi and Hyderabad) provided to track the status of consignment.


In the entire process, I received 6-7 mobile numbers, which were NOT responsive and the executives NEVER bothered to call back after committing


·         The delivery person in Hyd(Patil) NEVER bothered to call back after committing


Packaging


·         The packing material DID NOT include suit boxes(besides the delay), and the supervisor was very RELUCTANT to use fresh cartons for the packing


·         Permanent marker was used for numbering directly on some of the households(which will STAY FOREVER)


Others


·


There was ZERO level of coordination between the Delhi and Hyderabad executives, and it seemed I was dealing with TWO SEPARATE COMPANIES during loading and delivery


·         The executives, both during loading and loading, were shameless to demand high tips(which I never denied for in expectation of a decent level of service)


·         On asking if I will be compensated for the delay and harassment after I make the payment, one of the executives asked not to worry and that he will arrange for a refund


Damages:


1.     Wooden almirah handle damaged


2.     Sliding side box in one of the beds broken


3.     Aquaguard filter found in wet condition damaging the internal PCB/IC(I have already gotten this repaired at a cost of Rs. 2, 000, given it is NOT possible to wait for the surveyor to ensure drinking water supply at home)


Given the above, my total cost reached Rs. 52-55K, besides the harassment caused(far higher than the service worth I received). In addition, they were NOT equipped to take care of the damages and just DID NOT bother to take any actions. I would NOT recommend their service at any cost.
