Some of the countries are so desperate that they will do anything to show that they are different from others.
I don’t have any problems with the Islamic Leaders but there are some religion crazy nuts like Mullah Osmar leaders should be banned and must have the public slaughters to these kind of people.
Afghanistan is a beautiful country with wrong people ruling. Its really sad that such religion crazy communities like Taliban, VHP(Vishwa Hindu Parishad), The militants in Kashmir who feel that Kashmir is an Islam controlled state. Vishwa Hindu Parishad tried demolishing the Babri Masjid and now Taliban wants to destroy the beautiful Buddha Statues. How can they even think of such a thing.
I am really dumbfounded how come the international community is mum about the whole issue. US acts as if they are everything but now they are mum probably they are afraid, you can say in plain Hindi term as “phat gayee” . Even the CNN site doesn’t have any information on their site. It is supposed to be the hot news but CNN being a propaganda site promoted by the US doesn’t have any information. Its really disgusting.
Taliban leaders have great tendencies to make themselves religious and act smart. They think themselves that lord of Islam will be happy, if they start breaking the religious statues of other religion. Forget religious, if even if it was not religious statues these are heritage monument and by destroying these statues they are wiping out the history. Recently, I had been to the Elephanta Caves and was really unhappy with the state of the beautiful statues, even though being a heritage building, its not maintained.
Without, drifting from the topic of discussion, in a article in a magazine I read that there are some 10 commandments which has been put on the non-Muslims staying in Afghanistan. There are certain areas in Afghan where there are Hindus and Sikhs. Some of the rules are:

The order stated that non-Muslims were not allowed to build any place of worship like temple, church or gurudwara but can worship and repair only those places of worship, which were damaged during the war.
The non-Muslims are also not entitled to put any case against Muslims, according to the order. Further, all non-Muslims have been asked to put a two-meter long yellow cloth atop their house for identification.
The order banned non-Muslims from living together with Muslims in one house and asked such houses to be vacated within three days.
Women of non-Muslim families have been prohibited from walking in a street or bazaar without wearing a ``chadar'' which covers them. Women can only wear iron jewellery, the order said.
Moreover, the Law Ministry in Kabul said there must be a difference between non-Muslim and Muslim dresses. Non-Muslims must wear a yellow dress with a mark to ensure identification from a distance. The order also barred non-Muslims from wearing dresses of a priest or saint.

Women should not step outside the house with out wearing a burkha other wise they will be publicly humiliated.
Men should grow full beared, if found clean-shaven than will be put behind bars. (Just wondering if the person has harmonial disorders and he couldn’t grow beard than what is that persons status)

It’s really disgusting to see such rules being passed out. There is no problem in following your religion but making stupid rules like these are really sad.
The best way to control such stupidity is either banned this country or let be controlled by the UN. It should not be controlled by any country but should be controlled by the UN.
Afghanistan is such a beautiful country but sadly common people like us can never visit such a nice country , not only the statues but their are some old Harappa and Mohan jodero ancient civilization remains which will be never see by this world again. Lets hope for the best and pray for the Non-Muslims and Muslims in the Taliban tormented country to have a secured life.
I highly recommend Afghanistan as beautiful place to visit but I would like to see the Taliban leaders being hanged. Just because Taliban rules I would not recommend this to my friends.
But for now, the beautiful Buddha statues are being destroyed.
