Karan Johar is back with his team and also with his another movie "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" under his production company, Dharma Production. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is a 2016 romantic drama film written, directed and produced by Karan Johar. It features Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anushka Sharma and Fawad Khan in lead roles. The Music has been given by Pritam Chakraborty while the lyrics have been written by Amitabh Bhattacharya.
The film was scheduled for a worldwide release on 28 October 2016 on the Diwali weekend. But this movie got stucked into the controversies regarding the Pakistani actor ‘Fawad Khan’ being a part of this film. But despite many controversies, this movie opened on its pre-decided release date of 28 October, 2016. The film has been shooted in London, Paris, Vienna and and also in India
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is a Family film. It is a Romantic Film, There’s no Action Scene here.The movie has been opened in around 2500 screens in India. This is a high budget film which costs a total of 92 Crores INR. Ranbir Kapoor has reduced his salary for this movie after giving 3 Flops, which he deserves.It’s a quite lengthy movie of 158 minutes.
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil traces the life of Ayan Sayengar(Ranbir Kapoor) who is “private-jet-type” rich guy, pursuing an MBA. Then arrives Alizeh(Anushka Sharma), a very sorted and mature woman who knows exactly what is wrong with her life, knows how to handle her “weakness” and how to enjoy life. She is also the one who makes Ayan become the real person that he is — one who enjoys cheap Bollywood songs, loves to sing and dances like no one is watching.
Nothing is good here in this movie. This is very convenient and out dated story. Basic drawback in this seemingly love story movie is that there is ‘No Love’ at all. Makers point of view of love is just few kissing scenes and some look-alike love scenes. They didn't feel need of exploring or establishing love with new perspective. First half approach of love and film is ahead of time and second half belongs to gone era in dialogues as second female lead is a'Shayera'(Aishwarya Rai Bachchan), but behaviors and dresses wise again ultra modern, who doesn't blink for a second to be intimate with a person just in second meet! There is not a single clear cut character. Initially first pair was established very rich but then there was no any further need of this thing. All characters are confused. Even pre climax cause is very stale and looks funny rather than projecting any high octane emotions but actors shed tears now and then with loud gesture. Open-end climax in a love story is just unbearable. You remain seated and think what was that? Performance wise Ranbir Kapoor is good. Anushka Sharma is impressive, Aishwaraya Rai Bachchan is fine.
