Paper ads are not at all useful. IT is really difficult to find what you really want. I think the future is the online advertisements. The advantage of online ad is the users can filter all ads according to what they are looking for. For example according to local area in which they are living .
There are lots of websites from India like Click, IndiaList, OLX etc they are doing pretty well within the big cities. But the problem is they cover only big metros. IT is really difficult to search within a local area of a metro.
Another problem that the online classifieds advertisement has to address is, Indian ad business is outside the big metros as well. For example in Kerala, there is a big internet penetration, but the online classifieds websites only represent major cities .

It covers all small towns in India and it is really helpful in finding a local ad.
