I am having Flexi life line, Enhancer policy and I have paid my 5th and last premium recently. I have big exposure to Mutual funds and quite happy with the great returns especially in last 4 years. Compared to them Equity linked insurance looks dull.
After 5 premiums my investments have grown by 0%. This is considering the deduction of admin charges of nearly 25% overall. If admin charges are not considered then return is as good as any normal MF. Hence, one can make out that ELIS is for long term. I hope my ELIS will start to show profit from now onward. But who knows that Indian market will remain hot like in last few years. Are we missing the good time? One positive thing is that the risk cover equal to principle amount if anything happens.
I recommend this product for those who are not into any equity investments.
