International standards in policies, highly professional, easily understood, prompt and accurate service and above all the right value for individuals money. Many of us do not actually know how insurance policy works and end up just paying money and getting nothing but a insurance certificate. I would like to share my experience to let people know how to go about getting a decent service from Birla Sun life. First I took a policy and the representative explained everything of the policy in layman's language. So I understood the policy like crystal. Then I paid the amount for the first premium and the advisor said that I shall be getting the bond papers in 15 days. 15th day afternoon I received a register post of my insurance papers. Impressed!! The next month I applied for the auto debit scheme where every 3rd month the premium amount gets debited from my bank account automatically. For this, all I had to do was to download the ECS form online, fill it up, did signature verification in the bank and posted it. I received a confirmation for the activation of auto debit in 5 days as promised. Wonderful, I thought. Two days before the auto debit date, I get a reminder to check if I have enough funds. I felt as if my mother reminds me of my lunch pack to school. And now comes the most interesting effort by these people. I just called up the customer service to check if I can get physical receipts of my payment, though I have an auto debit facility, so that I can submit for my tax declaration. The service agent said yes and I hung up the call thinking that I have to do rounds of the office for getting the receipts. On the fifth day after my call, I have the advisor at my door to deliver the receipts. My heart was in my mouth. I was totally taken aback by this kind of a service. This is what I call the true definition of a feeling called DELIGHT. What else can somebody want when everything that you ask for is provided on time and perfectly? And also let me tell you, the amount that we are paying, get converted into points and the points are redeemed at the end of the policy on the currency value at that particular point of time. Say suppose, I pay Rs. 10 today, and Rs 5 is equal to 1 point, that means I have earned 2 points. And after 5 years say the value of rupee has increased and Rs. 10 is equal to 1 point, so after 5 years if I want to redeem the 2 points, the amount that I will get is Rs. 20. Isn't that cool!! Go for it! Your money and life are safe in their hands.
