Stayed here from Feb 2 to Feb 5. Room No 215.
Here are my observations:
The Property:
A beautiful four-star property located at Richmond Road, located in the centre of the city and with close proximity to MG Road, Brigade Road, and Garuda Mall. Great location. Notable is also to mention that this place has ranked in the Top 25 hotel properties in India in 2020 in the TripAdvisor Travellers Choice Awards.
The People:
This is the property of the Adarsh group of companies, a large-scale construction company with interests in residential, commercial, and hospitality projects. The biggest surprise for me was to receive a proactive call before my visit from Rajiv Seth, the VP of Hospitality of the group – he called me up in response to my mail to him and assured me about the hygiene, cleanliness, and premiumness of the hotel. Followed by another call from the EA Manager Rajesh Singh, whom I also had the honour to meet during my visit. Rajesh came across as a refined gentleman who was soft-spoken and courteous to the core. With an IHM Kolkata degree and 20 years of hospitality experience behind him, Rajesh seems to manage the property with extreme ease. He took pains to inform that service is the key winner of this place, the staff is trained to excel in customer delight. This is one of the very few places which did not accept quarantine business during lockdown times, had decommissioned OTA during those times, and adheres strictly to ISO 20000 norms. (Thank you, Rajesh for your hospitality. Obliged).
Other people noteworthy of mention are the cherubic Guest relations girl Nilakshi, and the extremely helpful F and B Manager Sushant Sharma.
The Place:
1) The rooms are 256 sq feet. Fairly large, with good leg space.
2) No significant room view. Mediocre.
3) Comfy high-level beds. The mattress and the pillows were fairly thick. Good sleep quality.
4) Extremely well-lit. Full marks.
5) A bathtub bathroom. Adequate frills. The bathroom was separated from the aqua area by a nylon curtain, but due to the bathtub, the water scarcely spilled outside the bathing area. Pressure pumped shower. Adequately hot water temperature. Good Bathing quality.
6) Shaving mirror available. Hairdryer not.
7) A 55-inch Samsung LCD TV. No HD Channels.
8) A great working wifi. A great working Ac.
9) Only one Mobile charging point near the bedside. A bummer.
10) Four 500 ml of bottled mineral water. Quite adequate.
11) A well-equipped gym. But no swimming pool, a downer during normal times.
12) Average spread in breakfast. Idli Wada, dosas, omelets, parathas, puri bhaji, cut fruits, corn flakes, and fresh fruit juice. Served in the room or at their restaurant.
13) Limited items on their menu card for meals. Also, a tad costlier than a five-star nearby.

Of course a Yes for next time.
